I’ve finally got the new photo browser set up and all the photos put into it. I’ve also processed everything that was still on the camera or in a temporary directory from this year. One thing the new browser doesn’t have is an RSS feed (not that anyone was subscribed to the old one) so it can be hard to tell what’s new. I thought it would be worth a quick post to spotlight all the latest stuff.
Jackson Hole, 2016 - In January, we went out to Jackson, WY with Lon and Linda to do a lot of skiing. It ended up being most of the skiing we’d do that winter because it was very dry back in New Hampshire. Unfortunately, it was also very cold in Wyoming while we were there (like, highs in the single digits and lows in the -20s) so I didn’t want to take my hands out of my mittens very often to take pictures. So there’s not too many.
Anniversary, 2016 - Sarah and I like to take trips for our anniversary instead of buy each other stuff. For this year’s trip, we drove to Quebec City. Unfortunately, most of the time it was very very grey so the pictures didn’t end up being too exciting.
Hiking around the Appalachia trailhead - I had a goal of hiking 50% of the miles of trails in the White Mountains. Back in November, I put together a very complicated route that covered an awful lot of new trail miles and allowed me to complete that goal. I decided that because there’s so many trail junctions in the area, I would take lots of pictures of signs. I gave up partway through the day, though.
Hiking the Bigelows - I took a day off from work back at the end of May to drive up to Maine and hike the Bigelows, one of a few hikes I still needed to complete the New England 4ks.
Hiking the Brothers - Rik and I made the long, long drive up to Baxter State Park in Maine to hike another of the 4ks I needed, as well as several hundred highest.
