This completes the New England 4000ers. From the time the Firewarden’s Trail breaks tree line (very far down) to the summit of Abraham was the highlight of this hike. We also made a bunch of SOTA contacts from each peak including S2S with Mt. Washington.

Some idiot has painted mile markers on rocks all the way up Sabbaday Brook. Kate Sleeper is an interesting trail with huge blowdown patches east of East Sleeper. Downes Brook is very rocky and annoying up top, and then flat and boring at the bottom with lots of river crossings.

We did the loop counterclockwise going up the Coe slide, over the Brothers, and bushwhacking out to Fort. The bushwhack had a well defined herd path all the way except for the deepest part of the col, but it was still very slow going. Great views from all summits and from the slide.

Lots of cool stuff on this hike - Goodrich Rock and boulders, the trail work and remoteness on Greely Ponds, and an overlook bench after following an unofficial trail past the highest point on the Timber Camp trail.
